This year, Hourglass Cosmetics Artistic Director Gina Brooke brings us yet another set of gorgeous, easy-to-do holiday makeup looks. The first consists of glittering green eyes with shimmering cheeks and pearlescent lips while the second pairs inky black eyes with stunning purple lips for more drama.
Look #1: Ethereal Beauty
At Vivienne Westwood Red Label Spring 2012, makeup artist Alex Box working for MAC Cosmetics added a pop of color to create “neo neon nymphs” with an “ethereal base, amazing and bruised colors and airbrush”.
At the Chris Benz Spring 2012 show, Lancome‘s Daniel Martin used Candy Darling – a 1960’s nightclub fixture – as muse and created fresh, clean skin with shades of mint green on the eyes, tangerine blush on the cheeks and a bright, pouty lip.
Inspired by a Japanese zen garden, Maybelline New York makeup artist Andy Koh created a 70’s inspired look with clean, natural skin, long lashes and metallic eyes and lips.
Over the weekend, I met with Bulgarian beauty Adriana for a shoot. She was super cool and open to colors, and when she picked out a pair of blue polka-dot lashes from my Halloween collection, I decided to go all the way with a glitter fuchsia lip and tropical colors on the eyes. Definitely not your everyday look but fun and great for the summer nonetheless. Thanks so much for the good time Adriana! =)
Just submitted another look for the NARS Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself Makeup Challenge so vote for me! If you have already voted for my first look, you can vote for me again! Thanks everyone =)
