The long-anticipated Sheer Glow and Sheer Matte Foundations from NARS are finally here!
The two foundations first made their debuts at New York Fall 2009 Fashion Week and will replace the existing NARS Oil-free Foundation and Balanced Foundation. Sheer Glow is a glowing, satin-finish foundation that is great for those with normal to dry skin while Sheer Matte provides a soft matte finish and helps to control oil and shine throughout the day.
For me, it is definitely liquid because it is the biggest no-brainer and works on pretty much all skin types. Plus you can get the sheerest to the heaviest coverage with liquid foundations and you can blend different colors together.

Tiffany asked: “I love your site! It is sooooo helpful! What foundation brand would you recommend to cover up acne and scars? (The heaviest and fullest coverage so that everything disappears!)”
Answer:- Thanks Tiffany! Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation is the latest full coverage foundation that I tried and liked. Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer and MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation are also two good choices with extremely heavy coverage.
One word about wearing full coverage foundation though – don’t, at least try not to do it on a daily basis. Why? Because slapping on heavy makeup can result in more clogged pores, more acne (your skin’s gotta breathe too girl!) and eventually turn into a viscous cycle. Plus full coverage foundations tend to look cakey and unnatural unless applied really skillfully. So instead of covering up bad skin with makeup, try to figure out what is causing your acne and work on fixing the problem itself.
