Chanel Teint Fluide Universel Multi-vitamin Natural Makeup SPF 15 ($42) was one of my very first foundations and definitely one of my favorites. I liked this so much I even wore it to my high school graduation!

The foundation comes in a 30ml glass bottle so you do get a decent amount of product. There are a variety of shades to choose from and I use 20 Clair for my NC30 skin.

The oil-free, vitamin-enriched formula has one of the creamiest textures that moisturized my skin nicely. It blends like a dream and does a good job evening out my skin, giving it a dewy, natural look. Not to mention that it stays on really well and comes with SPF 15. Highly recommended!

* Update: This foundation is now discontinued – what a shame!

MAC Face And Body FoundationA popular on the runway, MAC Face And Body Foundation ($30) is a water-based, water-resistant foundation that claims to provide a long-lasting, natural coverage for your face and body.

The foundation comes in a huge 120ml plastic bottle so you do get a lot of product. But other than that, this foundation does not seem to work out for me at all.

Despite its so-called water-based formula, it feels really greasy even on my dry skin. The coverage is also very sheer. In fact, so sheer it barely covered anything for me. Not to mention the foundation seems to separate easily. Blah!

MAC Studio Tech FoundationI have always preferred liquid foundations but when EVERYONE raved about MAC Studio Tech ($27.50), I had to find out what it is all about.

A tri-system blend of water, emollients and powder, the Studio Tech comes in the regular MAC compact with a sponge on the bottom compartment.

While the foundation looks solid, it has a creamy texture that goes on smoothly and melts into my skin, leaving behind a natural and semi-matte finish. Coverage-wise, it is on the heavier side so I like to apply it with my MAC #190 foundation brush to sheer it out.

The only thing I did not like is the color. I always use NC30 for MAC foundations/concealers but for some reason, this one seems to run a lot darker and looks more orange. It also does not oxidize well so at the end of the day, I always end up looking darker – not hot!
