Tonight at Atelier Versace Spring 2014 Couture, the makeup consisted of a sultry eye in shades of bronze and gold plus a touch of blue on the inner corners, paired with fluttery lashes and the usual Donatella Versace-esque nude lip. Tres chic and so perfect to wear for spring!
Graphic elements have been a popular trend on the runways in the past seasons and at Manish Arora Spring/Summer 2014, makeup artist Kabuki and manicurist Marian Newman working for M·A·C Cosmetics created a “1920’s Josephine Baker meets 1990’s raver” look to go with the bright clothing in the collection.
At Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2014, models donned a bright eye paired with a dyed blonde choppy bob.
At Alberta Ferretti Spring/Summer 2014, makeup artist Lucia Pieroni working for M·A·C Cosmetics teamed up with Redken Creative Consultant Guido to create a look that is “gorgeous, young, fresh, whimsical and romantic”.
At Hache Spring/Summer 2014, lead makeup artist Val Garland working for M·A·C Cosmetics, went for a “teddy boy tough chic” look with a graphic eye and matte, apricot lips.
The inspiration behind Dolce & Gabbana Spring/summer 2014 was an imaginary journey to rediscover ancient Sicily. To translate that into beauty, makeup artist Pat McGrath used a combination of warm golden tones alongside rich red accents on the models while hairstylist Guido created an ultra-feminine, soft braided updo pinned with gold coins, flowers and other hair accessories.
