Boy am I in love with Revlon’s Bedroom Eyes Powder Liner ($10) from its latest limited edition collection!

With this baby, all I need to do is draw a line along my lash line then smudge with a q-tip or MAC’s #252 brush and I get the perfect smoky eyes. Talk about fast and easy! There are a total of 6 gorgeous rich colors available and they are all great for the smoky look. I have Fishnet Jet, which is a charcoal black. The color is very pigmented and a little goes a looooong way. The product also goes on really creamy but since it is powder, application can get a little messy and you do get fallouts. I would suggest applying a generous layer of loose powder under your eye to catch any fallouts and tapping the applicator to remove excess before you apply the product. Alternatively, do your foundation and concealer after you use this. Also, this is NOT the product to use to create a fine line – use a liquid eyeliner for that instead. The sponge tip applicator is simply too big for precise application but if you are going for smudgy eyes, this is definitely it.

When I saw these new Bourjois Regard Paillete Glitter Pencil (~$11) on display at Boots, I knew I had to get them. They come in four colors – black, baby blue, teal and brown – and packed with silver glitter. I ended up bring home the black one, Noir éblouissant 31, since I just ran out of black pencil liner.

As requested by juicycouture:

Barry M Liquid Eyeliner (~$9)
Sold exclusively in the UK, these come in 6 gorgeous, highly versatile colors – Black, Blue, Purple, Green, Pink and Brown. I have Black and Brown which are both intensely pigmented and I reach for them almost on a daily basis. The felt-tip applicator is great for creating a thin to thick line and it makes the color go on easily without tugging the skin. It also stays on for hours and never flakes or smudges. This is a no-brainer that is great for anyone and I am never going back to my Inoui liner again!

Benefit Bad Gal Gear Liquid Liner ($28)
This came in the limited edition Bad Gal Gear set which includes a pair of false lashes, a mascara and a liner. It has a stiffer felt-tip applicator compared to the Barry M liner and I find it slightly harder to control. It also does not apply as evenly but the problem can easily be resolved with practice and a Q-tip. As for the color, it is pretty pigmented and shows up black on me which is a plus. It also stays on all day and will not smudge until I wash it off with my makeup remover. Not bad!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner ($19)
Awarded Elle’s ‘Genius Award’, In Style’s ‘Best Beauty Buy’ and Allure’s ‘Reader’s Choice Award’ in 2008, this gel eyeliner comes in 16 beautiful colors so you are bound to find a color you like. I picked up Black Mauve Shimmer Ink from the Fall 2008 Mauve Collection, which is a very pretty dark taupe with microshimmer and a great substitute to the regular black and brown eyeliners. Compared to MAC’s Fluidline, this feels slightly creamier and applies very nicely. It also stays on very well and even after I ran water over it, it did not smudge a bit. I will definitely go back for more.

Bourjois Easy Application Liner
This only comes in black and it has got to be one of the blackest liquid liner I have ever seen. The product tends to come out a little runny but it dries within seconds. The felt-tip design also makes it super easy to control so as corny as the name sounds, this liner does deliver what it claims. I also tried rubbing the line a little to see if it would come off and after some serious rubbing, the color only faded a little.

Bourjois Regard Paillete Glitter Eye Pencil (~$11)
When I saw these on display at Boots, I knew I had to get them. They come in four colors – black, baby blue, teal and brown – and are all packed with silver glitter. I ended up with the black one, Noir éblouissant 31, since I just ran out of black pencil liner. Initially, I was a little worried that the silver glitter would be too much for the day but I wore this to work and it showed up as a really pretty shimmery charcoal with just the right amount of sparkle. The liner also stayed on really well and I only had to reline my lower lashes after a whole day of work. This is definitely a keeper and I hope Bourjois will come out with more shades.

Inoui Liner (~$30)
This is my first liquid eyeliner and definitely one of my favorites! With its sleek pen packaging and firm brush, you can achieve a very fine to a thick line. The color is a true black, which I found is pretty rare. The staying power also beats some of the other liquid liners out there hands down. At 3000 yen, it is a little steep, but the refill only costs 900 yen, which is not too bad. I would definitely repurchase this over and over again.

MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil ($13.50)
When MAC came out with these, I was stoked. Unlike MAC’s regular eye pencil, these are so much more easier to blend and they stay on a lot better too. They are also different from MAC’s Eye Kohl because they are waterproof. I have Forever Green which is a shimmery forest emerald green and it makes my brown eyes pop.

MAC Eye Kohl ($13.50)
I have this in Smolder, a basic black color. It is very soft and super easy to blend. There are also many pretty colors to choose from. The only downside to kohls is that they smudge like crazy. Having said that, they are great for the smoky eyes look. But if you have oily skin or the habit of rubbing your eyes, do not even think of getting this.

MAC Fluidline ($14.50)
I absolutely *love* MAC’s fluidlines! I have Sweet Sage, Blue Peep, Blacktrack and Delphic and I am planning on getting more! These Fluidlines are basically gel liners and they are a dream to apply. All you have to do is dip the brush into the product, pull your skin taut and they glide right on. They apply a little moist but dry fast and stay put all day. Plus since they come in bright, funky colors, you can also use them as an eyeshadow base. I did that with Sweet Sage and it did not crease a bit. Highly recommended!

MAC Pearlglide Liners ($14.50)
These are definitely MAC’s best pencil liners! They are ultra creamy and glide on so easily! There are a total of 8 gorgeous colors available and they are all rich and metallic with a sparkly finish. You can smudge them out for a softer look or you can just let them set for a more solid effect. The staying power is also great. I ended up with Black Russian and Rave and they make my brown eyes pop! Click here for the swatches.

MAC Glitter Eyeliner ($15)
I *heart* these glitter liners! I have Blitzed, Peacocky, Pewterpink, Saucepot and Sunbrown. They are all limited edition, uber pretty and comes in a gel liquid form packed with tons of micro-fine crystallina glitter. The brush that comes with it is very thin which is great for application. The only downside is that the glitter does not apply evenly and I do need to blend with a Q-tip. Other than that, this is the *perfect* eyeliner if you are looking for a glamorous look.

MAC Liquidlast Liner ($16.50)
I have a few of these – Point Black, Aqualine and Pop Iris. They claim to be long-lasting, non-smudgy and non-flaky. To test this out, I wore mine for over 9 hours and right before I was about to take it off, I intentionally rubbed on the line to see if it smudges. The result? The line and color stayed perfect with no smudges – yay! The brush is also very thin (exactly like the glitter liners that came out last year) and works great if you want to draw a thin line. They also come in 12 very pretty colors and they would all look great with brown eyes. To wrap up, I *love* these liners and I am planning on getting more of them.

MAC Penultimate Liner ($16.50)
This first made its debut in the Chill collection and is MAC’s first and only pen-style liquid liner. It only comes in one color, Rapidblack, which is a true carbon black that goes on very pigmented. The felt-tip applicator is easy to use and the line comes out exactly like how I wanted – thin and precise. The only thing I can pick on is it tends to come out semi-runny so you would have to wait a few seconds for it to dry off before you proceed. Other than that, it goes on very smoothly and stays intact until I take it off. Loves it!

Majolica Majorca Automatic Liner (~$20)
Although the promotional picture shows bright metallic colors, do not let it fool you. These liners actually come in softer colors and are not as pigmented as shown. I have the black one, which shows up as a dark gray on my skin. It is a little runnier than Inoui’s, making it harder to draw a fine line. Since the pigmentation is not as good as expected, you need to layer it on to get a solid black line. Despite all this, I have to give props to Shiseido for its cute packaging. I also like the brush a lot – it is very soft yet firm enough.

Stila Smudgepot ($18)
This is my first gel liner and it used to be my holy grail until I tried MAC’s Fluidlines. Compared to MAC’s, Stila’s Smudgpot is more suitable for those who are more color-shy. The Smudgepots come in your every day conservative colors – black, brown, dark plum etc – and they also differ in terms of texture. They are definitely drier and feel firmer. This might be a plus for those without a steady hand but the downside to this is that, the product tends to dry up faster too. Mine dried up in less than a year and there was still a lot of product left. I do not think I would repurchase this.

Redpoint StayPut Eyeliner with Sharpener ($21)
Oh my god I think I have finally found my HG pencil eyeliner! I have this in Conga, a metallic dark brown color (think MAC’s Coco Beach pigment) and it just makes my brown eyes pop! It is highly pigmented, very soft and it glides onto the skin without tugging, making application oh-so-effortless! It also contains an “anti-aging TriPeptide complex to help your eye area appear firmer, smoother and more hydrated”. And the best part? It is *super* long-wearing, in fact the most long-wearing out of all the pencil liners I have ever used. I apply this in the morning with a few coats of mascara and it stays put for over 12 hours without smudging the slightest bit – now that is definitely something! Plus it comes with a built-in smudger and a sharpener. What more can you ask for?
