Bobbi Brown Corrector Review and Swatches

For very dark circles and extra coverage, makeup artist Bobbi Brown’s secret are the Bobbi Brown Correctors.

Designed to be used under your regular concealers, the correctors come in a range of 4 Peach shades and 8 Bisque shades. The Peach shades have an orange undertone to counteract purplish/brownish tones while the Bisque shades are pink-based to counteract bluish/greenish tones.

I normally use peachy correctors for my NC30 skin but since the artists at Bobbi Brown all recommended the Bisque shades, I ended up with both Light to Medium Bisque and Peach. Light to Medium Bisque is slightly lighter and pinker while Peach has more yellow and is a tinge darker than my skin.

The Correctors have a smooth, creamy texture that applies and blends easily. They can, however, creep into fine lines so moisturizing your undereye area is a MUST before you use them.

Coverage is excellent and you can tell a difference right away. While both correctors do a great job, Light to Medium Bisque seems to brighten up my undereye area more while Peach covers the darkness better.

On my regular days when I do not do a full face, I like to either use the Peach on its own, or the Light to Medium Bisque topped with a very thin layer of Peach. When I do need to look flawless, I use the Correctors with a thin layer of Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer on top. With both products, my undereye circles and even bags get completely wiped out which is AWESOME!

Another reason why I adore these Correctors is their compact size. The sleek little black pot is perfect to pop in any purse and there is also a mirror on the inside so you can apply this on the go.

Bobbi Brown Correctors definitely get the job done and are reasonably priced. Thumbs up!

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer Review and Swatches

I am sure a lot of you have already heard many good things about Amazing Cosmetics’ Amazing Concealer. The concealer boasts a highly pigmented, super emollient, waterproof formula to erase dark circles, broken capillaries, sun damage, blemishes, redness and pretty much any imperfection. So is this little tube of “magic eraser” really worth the hype? Let us find out!

The Amazing Concealer comes in two sizes, a regular 0.5 oz size and a to-go 0.2 oz size. I have the 0.2 oz size and let me tell you, it is tinyyyyy! The 6ml tube is even smaller than the Kesalan Patharan Under Tone Light-Up Concealer (which I had thought was the smallest concealer ever) and this only contains half as much product as the KP.

There are 10 shades available to suit an array of skin tones with different undertones. On my NC30 skin, Medium Golden, a slightly peachy color for “light beige complexions with peach or neutral undertones”, works perfectly in neutralizing my undereye circles.

The concealer has a great, creamy texture that is easy to work with. It also feels very moisturizing on my dry undereye area and blends seamlessly into my skin without creeping into fine lines or looking cakey. As for the coverage, it IS truly amazing! All I need is a few tiny dots and it will cover up most of my undereye circles and redness around my nose. It also leaves behind a natural-looking finish and lasts all day.

So yes this concealer may be a tad expensive for such a small amount, but it is a good investment in the long run and I will definitely repurchase.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review and Swatches

MAC concealers have never failed me (hello my favorite Select Coverup and Studio Sculpt Concealer!) and the Pro Longwear Concealer that debuted with the Pro Longwear collection a while ago is no different.

The Pro Longwear Concealer is a liquid concealer that comes in a tiny 9ml glass vial with a pump. The 15-shade color selection covers a variety of skin tones and matches just like their regular foundations. I normally use NC30 for MAC face products and am a NC30 for this one as well.

The concealer is very pigmented and provides medium to full coverage. You get quite a lot of product with one pump so I like to mix it with a tiny drop of my favorite CoverGirl & Olay Simply Ageless Serum Primer or eye cream to cover my undereye circles, redness around the nose and even out my forehead and lip area completely. See how opaque this is?

The finish is also very matte yet it manages to stay natural-looking and I never have to set it with powder. Plus it does stays true to its claim of being long-wearing and water-proof and lasts all day on me. I will definitely be keeping this one around.

You guys all know I LIVE for undereye concealers and my constant hunt for the next best concealer has led me to Temptu Undereye Concealer.

Packed with a load of good stuff like vitamin A, C, E, K, cucumber and chamomile extracts, this little stick is great for hiding those nasty undereye circles and bags while fighting signs of aging.

There are a total of 8 shades available:- Porcelain, Fair, Light, Medium, Natural, Tan, Dark and Deep. I have Light, a yellow-based color for fair skin and Medium, a perfect match for my NC30 skin.

The white diamond core contains Luminera Complex to transform UV light into photoluminescence and create a soft-focus glow effect to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and discoloration.

The silicone-in-water formulation also gives the concealer a creamy, moisturizing texture so it glides on easily with zero caking. Coverage is light to medium at most and looks really natural. I wear this to work every day and all it takes me is 30 seconds to put it on and blend with my favorite Ink Concealer Brush. I don’t even need to set it with powder and it wears well all day without fading.

Overall, this is a great, fool-proof undereye concealer, especially for dry skin. But if you need more coverage, try NYX Concealer In A Jar or MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer.

Kanebo Sensai Triple Touch Compact Review and Swatches

When it comes to doing my makeup in the morning, I always try to keep it quick and easy so I can catch an extra 15 minutes of sleep – which is why I love Kanebo Sensai Triple Touch Compact, a luxe compact that comes with two concealers and a pressed powder so you can look polished in no time.

The Colorless Concealer (or should I say primer) is a thin, transparent gel that contains Pure Pearl Extract and works just like NARS Skin Smoothing Face Prep. It feels super lightweight and fills in pores, smooths out fine lines and moisturizes the skin very nicely.

The Cream concealer contains Oil-in Powder and SPF15. The Thermo Melting fomula gives it a moist, creamy texture, making the concealer super easy to blend. Coverage is on the light to medium side and I love how it dries to a semi-matte finish without settling into fine lines.

On the bottom part of the compact is the Pressed Powder, mirror and puff. The powder comes with SPF 10 and has one of the silkiest, creamiest textures. It does a good job evening out my dehydrated combination skin while soaking up oilies on my t-zone and keeping my dry areas hydrated. The finish is also very natural and not the slightest cakey. Again, the coverage tends to be on the sheer side but buildable.

The biggest downside is the limited color range. The compact only comes in 3 shades (TC-01 Light, TC-02 Medium and TC-03 Dark) that will suit light to tan skin tones at most. I use TC-02 Medium, a light to medium color with yellow undertones, for my NC30 skin.

Colorless Concealer, Cream Concealer and Pressed Powder

Overall, the Kanebo Sensai Triple Touch Compact is great for everyday and the convenience and ease of use are definitely its biggest pros. With this compact, all it takes me is three minutes to get my face ready in the morning. I dab the Colorless Concealer under my eyes and around the nose, apply the Cream concealer on top, press the Powder all over, fill in my eyebrows, apply mascara and lipgloss and I am good to go! Plus the compact is the perfect size to pop in any purse so you can use it on the go and touch up any time.
