There are six great colors to choose from, including three neutrals and three brights:

Like my favorite Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencils and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, these glide on just like butter. The pigmentation is unbeatable, except for Winter White and Royal Purple, which are slightly sheerer and require a few more layers to be opaque. I also like that you can apply a thin line with these despite their chubby size and they make a perfect base for powder eyeshadows and loose glitter.

As for the claim of being long-lasting, water-resistant, crease-proof? Totally true! The pencils stayed on my bare lids for 10 hours straight without shifting or fading the slightest bit, yet come off easily with an oil-based remover.

NARS Ramatuelle Trio Eyeshadow Review, Swatches and Photos

Named after a village in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of southeastern France, NARS Ramatuelle Trio Eyeshadow from the Summer 2012 Collection brings us an unexpected warm-cool take on a neutral palette.

On the left is a shimmery icy silver color, in the middle is a light peachy beige with silver sparkles and on the right is a warm-toned apricot with matte finish.

The shimmery colors are great on the eyelid, as highlighters and apply smooth and buttery. The apricot shade is slightly sheerer and requires a bit of layering to build up the color, but it does add depth and is perfect for rocking the Tangerine Tango trend this year. With a primer like my favorite NARS Pro Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base underneath, the shadows also last all day without creasing or fading.

Overall, NARS Ramatuelle is nice trio that is great for creating a natural, airy look but at this price, I don’t think it is a must-have.

Here I am wearing the middle shade (peach) on the eyelid, the right shade (apricot) on the crease and the left shade (silver) on the lower waterline. After Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 Palettes, I stumbled upon yet another great product, theBalm Nude’tude Eyeshadow Palette.

The Nude ‘tude Nude Eyeshadow Palette comes in theBalm’s signature cardboard packaging with a large mirror, twelve eyeshadows and a dual-ended eyeshadow/liner brush on the inside. There are two variations that contain the same eyeshadows – “Feeling Naughty” has nude women with body parts covered by the shadows and “Feeling Nice” (the one featured in this post) does not.

The shadows come in a variety of textures and colors that go very well with one another. All the shades also have names beginning with “S” and are not available individually.

* Sassy is a frosty white that is similar to MAC Forgery.
* Stubborn is a frosty light pink/peach.
* Selfish is a frosty grayish taupe.
* Sophisticated is a dark brown with bronze shimmer and similar to Darkhorse from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
* Sexy is matte burgundy.
* Serious is a black with matte finish.
* Snobby is a shimmery yellow.
* Stand-offish is a frosty/metallic light brown.
* Sultry is a satiny warm medium brown similar to Buck from Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.
* Schitzo is a golden bronze.
* Silly is a reddish brown with flecks of copper sparkles.
* Sleek is a dark brown with matte finish.

This was my first time trying theBalm eyeshadows and I was really blown away by the quality. The shadows all applied with a smooth, buttery texture and superb pigmentation except for Snobby and Silly, which were slightly dry and powdery and require a bit of layering. I was also most impressed with the mattes. They were neither too stiff or chalky (a common problem with matte eyeshadows) and handsdown the best I have seen in a while.

NARS Liberte Blush Review, Swatches and Photos

To rock the Pantone Color of the Year, Tangerine Tango, I am really loving NARS Liberte Blush from the gorgeous Summer 2012 Collection.

Described as a “burnished apricot”, Liberte is a muted reddened-orange in the matte formula. The color may seem a little intense in the pan but as long as I tap off excess and apply with a light hand, it instantly warms up my NC30 skin in a pretty, natural-looking way.

The blush is also insanely pigmented, so again, remember to go easy and build up the color gradually. And just like all NARS blushes, it is finely-milled and apply smoothly with long-lasting wear. I will definitely be reaching out for this all summer!

Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara Review, Swatches and Photos

When it comes to mascaras, the drugstore is always full of hidden gems. So when Milani Cosmetics introduces Total Lash Cover Mascara for Spring 2012, a new mascara with a one-of-a-kind 3 Zone Brush, I just had to try it out.

With both plastic and synthetic bristles, the 3 Zone Brush is split into three parts (pink, clear and green) to define, build and curl lashes. The mascara also boasts a long-lasting, non-clumping formula that feels comfortable for all day wear and is only available in one shade, 105 Black.

Yes the applicator does look super cool but I’m not sure if I like it. Getting the brush in and out of the tube is a bit difficult for me (I literally had to jam mine back in) and the brush soaks up a LOT of product. As a result, my lashes always clump up really badly. But the good news is, the spikes on the pink part do help to separate the clumps, so the more you brush the applicator through your lashes, the better your lashes will end up looking.

The wear is also phenomenal. The mascara always stay on all day without smudging or flaking yet comes off easily with warm water.

The verdict? Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara can be a nice mascara that delivers length and volume but time and patience is definitely needed to make it work.
