Burberry Beauty Makeup Line Launches At Nordstrom!

July 6, 2010

Now that Burberry Beauty has officially launched at Nordstrom, I can practically hear my lemming screaming at me – must get the Sheer Luminous Fluid Foundation and ‘Lip Cover’ Soft Satin Lipstick!

The line will also be available in stores at Nordstrom San Francisco Center (San Francisco, CA), Nordstrom Garden State Plaza (Paramus, NJ), Nordstrom Bellevue Square (Bellevue, WA), Nordstrom South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, CA) and Nordstrom Michigan Avenue (Chicago, IL) starting July 12th.

I will report back with swatches and reviews next week!

I believe the line has already been released on the Burberry website.. I was just looking at it yesterday online and I am CRAZY about the sheer compacts and the “powder brush”. Honestly though, $55 for some coverage is a little too much for me to fork out and I don’t know if it’s worth it even though it IS Burberry. What do you think Phyllis? =]

    joeyZen,

I don’t think the price is too outrageous considering other designer lines like Giorgio Armani and D&G and even non-designer lines fall within a similar price range.

To me, what matters more is the quality. I will check out the line once it’s available in Chicago and post reviews.

Okay, I shall wait for your review and swatches! If it was me, it’d break my heart to ruin the gorgeous embossed check prints =[

On another note, I have a quick question since we’re [sorta] on the topic of foundation. Do you know of any foundations/powders that would hide dry spots? Like I have these dry-peely [barely noticeable without make-up] patches around my forehead and near my nose that show up REALLY bad when I have any powder on. I still have yet to find something that may hide it or reduce the “peely” presentation. Do you have any tips or advice? I’ve already tried exfoliators, concealers and applying additional coats of moisturizer after the powder but it only works for a short period of time..

Haha at least the Burberry line isn’t limited edition!

If you have dry skin, I strongly recommend you stay away from powder foundations and stick to liquids and creams. There are also a few other things you can do. I will do a Q&A post on this topic so other people can see it as well =)
