Vibrant eye makeup makes a comeback this Fall and the hottest colors around? Blue, green, purple, red and orange as seen at Prabal Gurung, Robert Cavalli, Prada and more. I too love myself some colorful eyes so here is an orange + black graphic eye you can easily do in just a few steps.
Dior always brings us the prettiest, brightest runway looks and for Spring/Summer 2013, lead makeup artist Pat McGrath created “techno-butterflies” with blocks of cream and powder eyeshadow dragged across the lid and blinged up with lots of Swarovski crystals. Anyone doing this for Halloween?
Colorful eyes complimented the vibrant collection at Kenzo Spring/Summer 2013. It is about “girls going into the jungle and becoming a jungle”, explains lead makeup artist Yadim for MAC Cosmetics.
The blue streak continued at the Jean Pierre Braganza Spring/Summer 2013 in London. The kaleidoscope eyes were the work of Terry Barber for MAC Cosmetics and inspired by a Beatles’ song, “Lucy in the Sky”.
At Peter Som Spring/Summer 2013, color was everywhere. Tom Pecheux for MAC Cosmetics worked with Wella Professionals Global Creative Director Eugene Souleiman and Color Ambassador Aura Friedman to create “classic East Village cool girls – natural easy hair with touches of faded color with strong, bold, yet sophisticated eye colors.”
