Shiseido Maquillage has hooked up with London-based designer Christopher Kane for its latest Fall 2008 Mode Mix Collection to appeal to the hip and young. The collection features a new eyeshadow duo (Forming Shiny Eyes), blush (Designer Cheek Colors), eyebrow pencil (Soft Brow Liner) and new colors for its famous Lasting Climax Rouge. Shiseido has also hired it model Agyness Deyn, along with 4 Japanese celebrities – Anne Watanabe, Chiaki Kuriyama, Misaki Ito and Yuri Ebihara – to demonstrate the 5 different looks for the collection. My favorites are Modern Mix and Lovely Mix. What are yours?
Japanese singer Koda Kumi is once again the spokesperson for Visee’s latest Fall 2008 Collection, Glamorous Hunter. The collection debuted in stores earlier this month and the cm has got me drooling all over the Glam Hunt Eyes palette.

Not only are these two gorgeous looks from Revlon’s Spring/Summer 2008 collection great for the summer, but they will look good on any skin tone.
I have always loved Asian beauty gadgets and in its latest summer 2008 collection, Shiseido’s Maquillage brought us the Mascara Combing Remover, a mascara-removing device that works even on waterproof mascara while conditioning your lashes.
Unlike traditional mascara removers that work like a mascara, the Mascara Combing Remover comes in a twist pen design with a comb on the top. This means no more pushing the wand in and out of the tube and having residue go back into the tube after you have removed the mascara plus you can actually clean the comb and wipe off mascara bits with a tissue – how hygienic!
To use the device, simply twist the back of the pen a few times and wait for the remover to get dispensed onto the comb. Next, comb your lashes as if you are applying mascara. Wait a minute or two for the product to dissolve your mascara and wipe off with a cotton pad. No rinsing is necessary.
I have had a couple of mascara removers that came with a wand but sadly, they all failed miserably. I am definitely going to pick this one up and report back. If you have this, let us know how you are liking it!

As promised, I will be doing a series of Bridal Makeup Looks from different cultures and first, I am going to start off with my hometown – Hong Kong.
Hong Kong brides like to keep the look natural and light, especially during the day.
The look is very soft and feminine and you will rarely see any dark smoky colors or harsh lines on the eyes. Instead, a lot of soft, shimmery pastels are used. Some colors to really bring out brown eyes are pink, lavender, minty green, light blue and silver. A long-lasting eyeliner, an eyelash curler and a waterproof mascara are a must. You can also use false lashes for the day but remember to pick a pair that lengthens without being too over the top. Lining your lower lashes with an off-white/beige pencil will also make your eyes pop.
To create a healthy flush as spotted on Janice Man on the left, try colors like baby pink and soft peaches. Smile big and apply directly onto the apples to create a cute doll look.
When choosing a lip color, you can never go wrong with a medium pink or peach.
