Runway Makeup: Miltary Beauty at Karl Lagerfeld Fall 2009

March 10, 2009

At the Fall 2009 show, designer Karl Lagerfeld mixed in the popular ’80s theme we see this season with futurism. He kept his pieces tailored and added in a military twist with “bridge shoulders” and fur helmets.

To go with the hardness Karl’s collection depicted, a strong look was created on the models. The skin was kept clean and the eyes rimmed heavily with black eyeliner. To recreate the eyes, run a pencil liner around your eyes and extend past the outer corner just a little. Top with a gel liner or liquid liner for the most dramatic effect. Leave the cheeks bare and pale out your lips with a light layer of foundation.

    hey there!

can i make a blog request? 🙂 what are your thoughts on primers? i currently bought “top secret” from ysl and have a hard time finding out if this stuff is actually good for my skin. i know it helps a bit with making my skin look nicer before makeup, but i’m concerned about how if affects the general wellbeing of my skin. thank you so much!
