This spring, L’oreal Paris expands its Colour Riche line to bring us Colour Riche Balm, a new collection of wearable lip balms that provide up to eight hours of continuous hydration.
Packaged in a sleek gold tube with a semi-transparent cap, the L’oreal Colour Riche Balm contains Shea butter, Argan Oil, Vitamin E and Rose Canina Oil for long-lasting moisture and SPF 15 to help protect lips from sun damage.
There are 8 gorgeous colors to choose from, ranging from baby pink to burgundy, plum and brown. I picked up Rose Elixir, a gorgeous rosy pink color.
The balm glided on very easily with a slick yet non-tacky texture and sweet vanilla scent. My lips felt super soft and moisturized whenever I put this on. I also liked that it added tons of shine.
The only downside? The color was very sheer and showed up almost clear on my lips. Nonetheless, L’oreal Colour Riche Balm is a good, easy-to-use lip balm that can keep my chapped lips moisturized for a good hour or two. I will most likely pick up a darker shade next time.
L’oreal Colour Riche Balm is now available at mass, food and drug retailers nationwide for $7.95.

I wonder how this compares to Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Butter.
Me too! I’ve heard so much about the Revlon Lip Butter but have yet to find one in my local drugstore 🙁
The lip butters are superior! I picked up berry smoothie and peach parfait, and I love them. Moisturizing like a chap stick, doesn’t feel like lip stick, and lots of color. you can even build up the color, too. I’m going back to pick up more. I got mine at Target and Fred Meyers.
Oooo making a trip to Target today! Thanks 🙂
CVS has them for $5.99 with 3 extra bucks this week (limit 1)! I got one today too =)It’s amazingly moisturizing and pigmented!
I have only swatched the loreal balms but I have yet to buy one. The revlon lip butters are amazing, the differences from what I noticed is that the loreal balms are more sheer compared the revlon lip butters and seem like they are a bit more moisturizing. The revlon lip butters are more like a creamy lipstick that has similar qualities to a balm but isnt quite as moisturizing. I have heard depending on the shades you buy, some with more sparkle will make your lips feel a bit more dry. They have a nice sheen thats makes it look as if you were wearing a thin layer of gloss, which is nice. I have 3 in cupcake, gumdrop and sugar plum and adore them, they are all very buildable. Unfortunately trying to find them where I live is like finding a needle in a haystack so I am still on the hunt for other shades! I highly recommend everyone at least gives them a try!
