Hard Candy Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy Lip Pencil Review, Photos and Swatches

During my search for a cheaper alternative of NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil, I came across Hard Candy Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy Lip Pencil.

The Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy Lip Pencil is about the same size as the NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil and fits perfectly in Milani, NARS, Urban Decay and NYX sharpeners. There are 10 great shades to choose from, ranging from creamy light pinks, peaches, coral to shimmery bright red, fuchsia and brown. I have Babe, which is a gorgeous vibrant fuchsia with very fine shimmer.

The pencil glides on easily without highlighting flakes or drying out my lips. Color payoff is excellent and true to what you see on the pencil. Compared to the NARS, the finish is slightly tackier but not as wet, and it looks more like a lipstick with tons of shine. The pencil also stays on for hours with zero fading but I do have to reapply after a drink or a meal.

Below is me wearing the Hard Candy Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy Lip Pencil in Babe. Doesn’t it remind you of Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss in Orchid Dream that I previously reviewed?

Overall Rating:

Hard Candy Visibly Wet Shockingly Glossy Lip Pencil is available at Walmart for $5.

If the color with flash were the true color I’d immediately buy this – but I’m not really a fan of fuchsia lips, so that’s a bummer..

once the end goes down, what do you do? seems like a waste to just throw it out? is there a safe way to sharpen this thing? 🙁

I didn’t have trouble sharpening these. If you worry about them “melting”, you can always pop them in the fridge for a bit before you sharpen them.

You just sharpen them with any jumbo sharpener. As mentioned on my post, these fit perfectly in Milani, NARS, Urban Decay and NYX sharpeners. Hope this helps 🙂

I really like this lip pencil. I’m not sure the name of the one I have, I can’t find the name. My only issue is that mine never stays on longer than an hour :/
