During my recent trip back home, I finally got to stop by the Barbie Beauty counter to check out the Barbie All Doll’d Up makeup line and Plastic Smooth skincare line available exclusively in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The All Doll’d Up line comes with 13 items, including a Creamy Foundation SPF15, Pressed Powder, Concealer Kit, Blush Kit, Eye Shadow Kit, Eye Shadow, Eye Glitter, Brow Kit, Mascara, Eyeliner, Lipstick, Lip Gloss and Nail Polish. The colors are all very wearable and the packaging is super adorable and very Barbie-ish as expected.
The Plastic Smooth line, on the other hand, consists of a Makeup Remover (oil), Cleansing Milk, Moisturizing Toner, Moisturizing Milk with Shea Butter, Eye Gel + Mask, Mantra Day Cream, Mantra Night Cream, Brightening Serum, Beauty Mask, Zen Mask, Three-Minutes Milk Mask and Face Scrub. Again, they come in the cutest bottles you can ever imagine.
There is also a newly launched Barbie Fruity Collection, which contains three different sets of shower gels, shampoos, conditioners and body lotions in Strawberry Pomegranate, Bergamot and Melon Ginger flavors.
And as if all that is not enough reason to tempt you to make a trip to the Barbie Beauty counter, they provide a B-nail service as well. Treatments include your regular manicure, pedicure, gel nails and even B-nail printing, where you can get Barbie logos stamped onto your nails. Prices are HK$138 (~US$18) for a mani, HK$398 (~$51) for a pedi, HK$398 (~$51) for a basic set of gel nails and HK$138 (~US$18) for B-nail printing.
I ended up taking home with me the Three-Minutes Milk Mask. Will post a review shortly!
The Barbie Beauty counter is located at FACES, Ocean Terminal (Hong Kong).

This is AWESOME!
I was never a fan of Barbie, but this definitely looks cute!
Wait– is this line affiliated with other makeup brands (like Stila)? Anyway, this line looks really cute. I hope they expand internationally!
Looking forward to your review, too! 🙂
When I saw the counter I was entranced. Like many other former little girls, I grew up loving Barbie. But for some reason, no matter how cute the packaging is or how much fun the colors are — I can’t get over the feeling that I’m 8 years old playing with “toy” make-up again. You know, the kind you know isn’t great for your skin? So I too would also love to know who’s behind these products – I so desperately want to be a fan!
Jenn/jessyclaire,
This line is manufactured in the US by cmm Int’l Group. From what I understand, it is strictly for the Chinese market (just like how the Stila Barbie line was for the US market) and will not expand internationally – which kind of sucks because the packaging is so much cuter than Stila.
I forgot all about this Barbie line! I definitely want some things *drool* Is there any kind of website where I can see all the products/colors/names? I NEED to arrange for a CP as soon as possible @_@
Betty,
I don’t think there’s a website for this line. Which products were you interested in? I can take pics from the brochure I got.
Cute products and it is nice that we get to see the pictures of the beauty counter. I remember you did a posting of the Asian Barbie line a while back ago.
Cute stuff by barbie 🙂
By chance is this being sold in US yet???
I doubt it since this line is sold specifically in the Hong Kong and Shanghai market – sorry! There should also be another line of Barbie market for Korea as well.
I would love to know if this makeup line is still around, I love it thanks
