Runway Beauty: Deconstructed Film Noir at Monse A/W 2017

February 16, 2017

“Deconstructed film noir” ruled the runway at Monse A/W 2017 in the form of glossy eyes and striped nails.

Makeup: Gucci Westman for M·A·C Cosmetics
Nails: Rita Remark for essie

Westman started by prepping the skin with Mineralize Charged Water Face and Body Lotion. She added M·A·C Studio Conceal and Correct Palette as needed to even and perfect skin and Strobe Cream in Silverlite on the upper cheekbones and down the center of the nose for a hydrated glow.

On the eyes, Westman applied Gabardine over the upper and lower lids and Fogged Over on the inner corner and lashlines, both from M·A·C Trend Forecast Fall 17/Eye. Next, she added M·A·C Metallic Lips in Metal Head over the center of the upper lid before topping with Lipglass Clear for a wet glossy effect.

To finish, Westman pressed Lipstick in Verve onto the center of the lips for a bitten effect.

As for the nails, Remark created a half-striped look on the ring finger to accompany the luxe colors in the clothing collection without adding more weight to the look. A chrome pinky was then added with essie no place like chrome to leave a “lasting impression”.
