The Makeup Show Chicago 2013

May 30, 2013

On June 9th and 10th, The Makeup Show will return to Chicago for the third time with bigger, better talents and more beauty brands!

The Makeup Show Chicago

I have been a regular at the show ever since it debuted in the Mid-West and every year I go home with something new. This year, I’m REALLY looking forward to:

I’m With The Brand Keynote from NARS Cosmetics Director of Global Artistry James Boehmer. James is the guru behind some of the gorgeous looks from Fashion Week and he has done everything from stage, film and television to working with celebrities and super models and on editorials for Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and more. James will share his thoughts on building a career with a brand and insights on upcoming trends.

Makeup As Art Seminar by MAC Cosmetics Senior Makeup Artist Victor C. I met Victor in 2009 at a MAC PRO Masterclass and was totally blown away by his skills and sense of humor. Can’t wait to see what he’s got for us this time!

Thinking Outside the Box Keynote by Sutan Amrull. Makeup is all about being innovative and imaginative and having worked with famous faces like Tyra Banks, Adam Lambert and Dita Von Teese, Sutan will be showing us the secrets to his unique makeup style.

French skincare brand Embryolisse. You guys know how much I LOVE their Lait-Crème Concentrè (been using it for over 5 years!) Definitely stocking up for me and my friends!

The new Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss Lip Tars!

And of course, hands-on workshops and seminars by big names like James Vincent, Danessa Myricks, Orlando Santiago etc. along with other brands like Smashbox, Inglot, Make Up For Ever, Stila, Senna Cosmetics and lots more!

Time: Sunday, June 9 (9am to 6pm) and Monday, June 10 (9am to 5pm)
Venue: Bridgeport Art Center, 1200 W. 35th Street, Chicago

hey phyllis, copying over this message from facebook

i’ve been looking around for a new bb cream and i saw your review on the lioele triple
everything about it looks good but one thing that really bothers me about all face makeup is the feeling of having makeup on

skinfood mushroom is the only one i’ve ever tried that just feels like putting on lotion and then it feels like my own skin

is the lioele bb cream like that too?
