MAC Venomous Villains Evil Queen Collection Reviews and Swatches

For the Evil Queen collection, we have a more wearable palette of purples and reds.

The Eyeshadows ($15.50) come mostly in purple shades and while they are pretty, they look similar to previously released colors. Her Alter Image is a pigmented, light violet in the Veluxe Pearl formula; Vainglorious is a frosty burgundy brown; Vile Violet is a dark purple in the Matte formula.

The Lipsticks ($15.50) and Lipglasses ($15.50) are my favorite in this collection. Toxic Tale is a gorgeous bright coral in the Satin formula; Sinister is a Soft brown plum (Lustre) (Limited Edition); Strange Potion is shimmery soft coral and Hot House, a repromote from Strange Hybrid collection, is a shimmery dark raspberry.

As for the cheeks, we have Bite of an Apple Powder Blush ($19.50) with Oh So Fair Beauty Powder ($25). The former is a matte soft coral while the latter is a shimmery pale pink.

  1. I was disappointed when I saw this collection at MAC. Most of the colors are similar to past MAC collections and the Oh So Fair beauty powder was too sheer to show up on my skin.

  2. I like the range of shades in this collection, simply because they are completely wearable for the everyday woman (who can often feel intimidated by the vivid shades in other ranges). I also adore the fun packaging, which adds some extra enjoyment! Overall, I think this range is very versatile and great looks would be achievable with these.
