Earlier this week, Minna Ha from UNII Cosmetics sent me a gorgeous set of her creation, the UNII Palette.

The UNII Palette is a magnetized freestyle palette that you can use to store different makeup and brushes. It comes in a sturdy plastic case with a slick design that reminds of Mac computers. The case is roughly 3.7″ x 6″ x 0.7″, which is smaller but thicker than MAC’s 15-Pan Palette and Yaby’s Palette. The size is perfect for travel and can hold up to 14 MAC eyeshadows.

The palette comes in 5 colors – Snow (bright white), Eggplant (dark purple), Lemongrass (lime yellow), Pomegranate (raspberry red) and Twilight (teal). While they are all super cute, Snow and Pomegranate are my favorite.

Inside the palette, there is a huge mirror so you can apply makeup on the go and a cleverly-designed movable thumb grip to prevent slipping.

The super cute, fold-out box also comes with detailed instructions on all you need to know about depotting along with an adhesive magnetic sheet with writable labels.

My Pomegranate UNII Palette in action! With the thumb grip, it fits about 13 eyeshadows.

Without, it can even hold my Smashbox and MAC brushes! Loves!

This is actually very cool for those people who depot their eyeshadow…I personally would just go for tough CD cases or some craft storage box from Hobby Lobby, which cost 5 bucks at the most. (This is actually more expensive than those Stila 6-8pan palette with brush, and mirror).

I think it’s very cleverly designed and practical. However, it’s too pricey for such a small palette.

what a neat idea. i love the huge mirror and how portable it is!

I though these looked like iPhones, especially the back.
