Happy new year everyone! 2009 was a tough year so I’m leaving all that behind and starting the new year with a haircut. I got 6 inches cut off (my hair feels *so* much lighter now!) and some layers added in. You guys likey?

I’ve added the list of products I’m wearing as requested:
* MAC Mineralize All-over Lotion to prep the skin
* Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation in #120 Soft Sand buffed in with MAC #109 Brush
* Stila Espresso Eyeshadow applied with MAC #266 brush to fill in eyebrows
* Lumene Eye Makeup Base as a primer
* Left side (brown color) from NARS Brousse Duo Eyeshadow on the eyelid
* Right side (purple color) from NARS Brousse Duo Eyeshadow blended up onto crease and lower eye
* Right side (shimmery bone color) from Pixi Softly Smoky Eyes Palette to highlight
* MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack to rim the eyes
* Fake Lashes in #Au Naturale from my own line on top
* CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara in Black on lower lashes
* MAC Danity Mineralize Blush on apples
* MAC Sculpt & Shape Duo Powder in Accentuate/Sculpt along the bridge of nose
* CoverGirl ShineBlast in Sparkler on the lips

Hey, I really like the color of your hair! I think Asian girls look so much better with dark hair. How did you get that hair color? because I remember you before with brown or light brown hair…thx!
01/03/2010 at 11:04 pm
Thanks Amy! I dyed my hair back jet black a while ago and it faded to this color. My natural hair color is a brown black.

Hey, love the cut. If you don’t mind me asking, which salon did you go to? I have such a hard time finding a good stylist and am also in the Chicago area.

Sarah,
The place is in Lisle and this was actually my first time there. I found out about the hair stylist from a friend and I think she used to do hair for celebrities in Hong Kong. If you want her contact info, e-mail me.

PK,
The Mineralize All-over Lotion is a new moisturizer from MAC. It’s from the Warm and Cozy collection but will be permanent. Here’s the link to the product on the website:

Hi Phyllis, great hair style.
How do you style it in the morning? What products and tools do you use? How much time does it take you? I always love my hair when I leave the salon and then I find it impossible to style it the next day and I end up feeling that nothing has changed at all besides length.
01/18/2010 at 6:46 pm
Thanks everyone!
01/18/2010 at 6:55 pm
Thanks Anna! I will do a Q&A on this shortly.
12/12/2010 at 10:59 am
love those lip colour! is there MAC lipstick dupe for it?x
12/12/2010 at 4:28 pm
Thanks! I was wearing CoverGirl ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Sparkler, which is a very sheer hot pink color with shimmer (you can read my review and see more pics at http://makeupforlife.net/2009/11/covergirl-shineblast-lip-gloss-review-and-swatches.html).
The closest dupe in MAC would most likely be their Cremesheen Glass in Partial To Pink. You can see a swatch here:
