Case #1: Mary-Kate Olsen vs Ashley Olsen
Although they are both wearing a heavily rimmed eye with nude lipstick, Ashley definitely did a better job here by going with a warmer lipstick and adding in blush. Mary-Kate just looks dead and washed out.
The Wrong: Mary-Kate Olsen vs The Right: Ashley Olsen
: Wear blush to warm up your complexion and steer clear of lipsticks that are too close to your complexion.
Dressed in a sleek black and white Dolce & Gabbana suit at the “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala last night, singer Rihanna is officially back and looking good!
I am not too sure of the puffy sleeves but I *love* the denim blue and warm coral combo on the eyes and the nude lip. It is definitely more fun than the regular smoky eyes we see on the red carpet. What do you ladies think?

I am sure most of you have heard of the concept of contouring and highlighting. Sure it may sound simple but when it comes down to actually doing it, it takes a lot more than just practice, which is why I attended my first MAC Pro Master Class, Sculpting The Face, by MAC senior makeup artist Victor Cembellin, to freshen up my skills and to pick up new tips.
Victor defines contouring as “using the principles of light and dark to create/enhance dimension”. Light colors will highlight features, make larger, emphasize and make more prominent, whereas dark colors will shade, create shadow, minimize, reduce/recede features and create the illusion of depth.
Areas To Contour:
* Under the cheekbones
* Jaw line
* Sides of the nose
* Socket of the eye/crease
* Sides of the forehead
* Contours of the body
Areas To Highlight
* Bridge of nose
* Center of the forehead
* High cheekbones
* Under the eyes
* Eyelid/ Brow bone
* Back of the jaw
* Highlights on the body
Below are some of the key tips from Victor:
Lately, we have been seeing quite a few dark-haired Hollywood bombshells with lighter locks. Are you guys liking the look? Share your thoughts!
The super gorgeous Megan Fox with lighter hair. I’m not a fan of the lighter ends with the darker roots though.
