How To: Wear Purple Eyeshadow
Purple eyeshadow is definitely one of those things you can wear any season with any skin color and eye color.
Lavender paired with lime green at Nicole Farhi Spring 2010 and violet with orange, gold and teal at John Galliano Fall 2008 runway shows.
Pastel purples with nude lips at Versace Spring 2010 and Bottega Veneta Fall 2008 runway shows.
Smoldering plums at Giorgio Armani Beauty Fall 2009 and Nicole Miller Spring 2009 shows.
Tips On How To Rock Purple Eyeshadow
* Pick the right color. Go with blue-based purples to avoid looking bruised. Blue eyes look best in lavenders while green eyes pop in plums/mauves. Brown eyes can rock any shade of purple.
* Go a little heavier on the liner and mascara. Purple can make eyes appear swollen so if you do not have deep set eyes, remember to add liner and mascara.
* Purple is one of the most versatile colors out there so be experimental! For a fool-proof look, pair with neutrals like golds, browns, bronzes and taupes.
If you are not afraid of color, try purple with blues, pinks, teals, or even contrasting colors like yellow.
Want drama quick? Just smoke it up with a bit of black and add a highlighting color in the inner corners.

Hi Phyllis. I love wearing purple e/s, have you tried Anna Sui’s purple e/s in 204? You really should, its a cool medium purple with gold shimmers, gosh its soooo pretty.

I love plum and mint green together, I recently did one a few weeks ago. Purple is my favourite colour to wear year round. Of all the demos you showed here I like the first and last one the best.
