“We’re used to seeing Blake as the typical American girl, so I tried something more fierce,” explained makeup artist Stéphane Marais.

* A sheer foundation was blended onto Blake’s face and her cheeks, forehead and chin were highlighted with bronze shimmer.

* To play up her eyes, Marais rimmed them in black pencil and smudged the lines outward. He swept black metallic shadow across her lids and finished with a thick stripe of black liquid liner.

* Marais left Blake’s lips bare with just a dab of moisturizer to bring out their “natural cherry color”.
