Celebrity Makeup Breakdown: Girls Aloud in The Loving Kind Music Video

I have been totally hooked on Girls Aloud‘s latest album “Out of Control” and their new music video, “The Loving Kind” is *so* hot!!! Read on to learn how to dupe the looks yourself!

Look #1: Heavy Liner, Lush Lashes and Red Lips
Spotted on Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh, this is the ultimate tramp look.

Start out by defining the eyes with a wash of beige eyeshadow on the eyelid and a taupe eyeshadow on the crease. Line your upper and lower lash lines and rim the water lines with a black pencil eyeliner. Wing the line out for a cat look and go over the pencil liner with a black liquid liner to create maximum drama. Finish by applying a pair of false lashes like Make Up For Ever’s #25113 on the top and several coats of mascara on the bottom.

With eyes and lips this strong, you only need a light dusting of blush on the apples and a highlighting color like NARS Copacabana Multiple on top of the cheekbones.

For super bright lips like Cheryl and Kimberley’s, first exfoliate your lips gently with Vaseline and an old toothbrush – bright lipstick on chapped lips is more than a sin! Next, paint a fire engine red lipstick on with a lip brush. A universal color is MAC’s Russian Red. Top with a clear lip gloss so the color stays true.

Look #2 Goth Lips
Sarah Harding looks gothalicious with dark vampy lips and black nail polish.

For Sarah’s eyes, start off by applying a shimmery golden beige color like MAC’s Shroom on the eyelid and defining the crease with a violet brown color like NARS’ Ashes to Ashes. Then using a black liquid liner, draw a line along your upper lash line starting from the middle of your eyelid and extend past the corner just a little. Apply a pair of false lashes on the top and leave the lower eye bare with just a coat of black mascara on the bottom lashes.

Like the previous look, the focus is on the lips and eyes so blush should be applied lightly.

To recreate Sarah’s lips, fill in your lips with a plummy liner. Using a lip brush, paint a blackened plummy lipstick like MAC’s Mattene in Bing over your lips. Top with a clear gloss to finish the look.

Look #3: Smoky Eyes with Pink Lips
Unlike the rest of the girls, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts went for a girly look with heavily rimmed, smudged out eyes and pink lips. Since Nadine and Nicola have very different colorings, a different palette was used on them.

For Nadine’s eyes, apply a white eyeshadow like MAC’s Vanilla on the entire eyelid and an espresso color on the outer corner blended onto the crease. Line the upper and lower rims of the eyes with a black pencil and blend a bit of the espresso color onto the lower eye as well.

As for Nicola’s look, sweep a shimmery peachy pink color on the eyelid and add depth on the crease with a warmer bronze like MAC’s Honey Lust. Again, line both upper and lower rims with a black pencil.

Finish both looks by applying a pair of thick false lashes and remember to put mascara on the bottom lashes as well.

Blush is definitely applied more heavily on Nadine and Nicola. Nadine is wearing a plummy pink and Nicola is wearing a warmer apricot shade.

A cool-toned medium pink was used on Nadine while a warmer coral pink was used on Nicola.
