Fergie Appears In MAC’s Latest Viva Glam campaign

Singer of hit single Glamorous, Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson, has followed the footsteps of Dita von Teese, Eve, Christina Aguilera, Lisa Marie Presley and many more as MAC’s latest Viva Glam girl.

“I have been a fan of Viva Glam for a long time – I have been following the campaign for years and I think it’s a great outreach,” said Fergie. “I have friends that are proud of being careless, that haven’t been infected or who have been and aren’t bothered by it. I want to educate people.” She also likes that Viva Glam ads are never your typical cosmetics shots: “MAC picks people like RuPaul, Mary J. Blige — people that are a little controversial and aren’t afraid to speak their minds,” she said. “I’m very proud to be a part of it.”

The new special edition Viva Glam VI Lipglass ($14) is created after Fergie helped pick out the color from 10 other shades. It is a “pink-tinged mauve that’s very soft and will look good on a lot of different skin tones – it’s the universal easy color to wear.” The Lipglass will hit stores this month and the ad will break in May, appearing in North American fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazines.

To further reach out to her target demographic which include teens and young adults , Fergie’s song, Glamorous, has also been remixed as Viva Glamorous. “It’s a new house dance remix with new raps and new vocals and harmonies, ” she added. “It works perfectly for the campaign. It’s going to be played in MAC stores, too.”

Fergie sure looks gooooood in that ad and the Lipglass sounds absolutely yummy! I can’t wait to see it!

Review of MAC’s Viva Glam VI Special Edition Lipglass ($14.50)

I was so excited when I finally saw this at the MAC store! The color is exactly the same as its description, a frosty “soft pink-tinged mauve” that looks sooooo pretty. Unlike most other lipglasses that I own, this is not very pigmented so if I wear this on its own, the color barely shows up and I only get a glossy look. If I layer this on top of a lipstick, however, it adds a tinge of soft pink and looks absolutely gorgeous! The entire proceeds from all Viva Glam products also go to the MAC Aids Fund to support the fight against HIV/Aids so ladies, definitely pick one up next time you hit up MAC!
