Celebrity Makeup Breakdown: Rihanna

May 8, 2007

With a new album coming out, Rihanna ditched her long, girl-next-door locks for a sexier, sleek bob and sultry makeup.

Smooth on a tinted foundation to even out your skin. Warm up your skin by applying a bronzer one shade or two darker along your hairline and cheekbones.

Keep eyebrows neat by brushing them upwards and filling in any sparse area with a pencil. Sweep a shimmery nude eyeshadow onto your entire lid and contour with a darker color on the crease. Line the entire upper lashline with a black liquid liner and wing the liner at the outer corner. Line the lower lashline and make sure the two lines join at the end. Apply falsies on the top lashes and lots of mascara on the bottom. Highlight the inner corner of your eyes with the a shimmery eyeshadow.

Pucker up with a peachy nude lipgloss like Bourjois’ Nude Energic 35.

**Please note that the look above works best for those with a warm skintone. If your skin tends to be on the cool side, try using cool colors instead, i.e. substitute the lipgloss for a pink-based nude.

Hi Phyllis! I love all the celebrity breakdowns you have done. Totally Awesome. I was wondering if you could do one of BoA and Kathy Chow. I think they have great makeup but I could never figure it out.

This is one of my most favorite looks that you have done on a Celebrity Breakdown.
I wanted to say that maybe it might help us a little more if you could maybe put up a step by step picture along with the descriptions. I know it is alot to ask since it will require more work and energy from you but on such glamorous looks like these I would be excited to see how you would pull it off!
Thanks again for the great looks, tips, and all the help on anything makeup!
