What I Used
* MAC Velvet 6: Smoked Palette
* T’estimo Eyebrow Mascara in 01
* Bourjois Glitter Eye Pencil in Black
* Ardell False Lashes in 131
* Duo Adhesive and Eyelash Clip
How To
Step 1. Apply concealer around your eye area as needed. Dust a little loose powder under your eyes to catch any fall out.
Step 2. Brush the T’estimo Brow gel over your eyebrows to lighten them.
Step 3. Color your entire eyelid with the Bourjois Glitter eye pencil.
Step 4. Using a small eyeshadow brush like MAC’s #316, sweep MAC’s Satin Taupe (B from the palette) onto your crease. Blend the color downwards.
Step 5. Using a firm eyeshadow brush like MAC’s #239, apply MAC’s Club (C from the palette) onto your eyelid and lower eye.
Step 6. Darken your crease some more with MAC’s Black Tied (D from the palette).
Step 7. Blend everything with a large eyeshadow brush so there are no hard lines but try not to overblend as it will tone down the color.
Step 8. Brush MAC’s Vex (A from the palette) under your brow bone and inner corner of your eye to highlight the areas.
Step 9. Line both upper and lower lash lines with the Bourjois pencil.
Step 10. Apply Ardell’s false lashes on upper lashes and mascara on lower lashes.

Thanks for the tutorial! Do you happen to have any step-by-step pics for those who are more visual people? If you don’t or if it’s too time-consuming to post one up, that’s perfectly fine.
Also, I wanted to verify step #3…I’m to color my entire eyelid with the black eye pencil? o_O
Thanks again for posting this!

Thanks so much!
I was wondering whether you know anything about Thi Cosmetics, and what you think of their makeup and especially their false lashes?
Thanks,

I realize you don’t use eye primer at all. How do you make your eyeshadow so vibrant and stay long?

I noticed that you used T’estimo brow mascara in #01 but I wonder if this would be a good choice for me as well? My brows are well-trimmed but they are very thick and black..would choosing this color be too light for me?

Karen, try using a dense eyeshadow brush and wet it slightly before you apply the eyeshadows. You can also press the color onto your eyelid instead of just sweeping it on.

Alicia, since I have not seen how dark/thick your eyebrows are, it is kind of hard for me to tell you whether the color would be right for you. If your eyebrows are REALLY dark, try MAC’s Eyebrow Gel in Beguile – it’s like a taupe color and it would look really natural on Asian eyebrows.

I’m going Hong Kong in a few weeks time, do you know any good beauty stores? I’ve heard that Sasa has closed down or something? I don’t know any other beauty stores.
Thanks,
x

Hey cherrybread, it all depends on what you’re looking for. For Japanese drugstore brands, try Bonjour and Lang Lang. If you’re more interested in high end brands, check out the department stores in Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui.
