The Viktor & Rolf collection debuted at H&M this Thursday here in London. The entire collection consists of dresses, dress pants, blazers, sweaters, bomber jacket, jeans along with some amazing classic pieces like the trench coat, tuxedo and little black dress.
All designs are kept simple yet feminine. The theme of the collection is romance and the heart and arrow motif is used to symbolize the feeling of being struck by love. The main colors are black, cream, raspberry, gray and taupe. The materials used are not exactly of top quality – some of them are made in China and felt just a teeny bit tacky – but then again, who would expect it to be when you are only paying this price for designer clothes?

Just when I am starting to get bored of MAC’s recent collections, they released their annual holiday collection for 2006 – Formal Black. This collection has got to be one of the best holiday collections from MAC. Not only is the packaging totally cute(*love* the lushy fabric and black bead chain!) but all the colors are extremely gorgeous! I was so tempted to get them all but only picked up a few things. More after the jump!
Now that I live in one of the world’s fashion capitals, I have decided to add in a little Fashion section for this blog and for starters, I would like to cover one of the major fashion trends spotted around Central London – layering. Hope you guys like it!
Layering has taken onto a whole new level these days. Instead of layering a vest/tee over a shirt, you can now layer pretty much anything. The key is to mix and match the right pieces. Personally I find layering to look best on those with slightly leaner bodies but if you tend to be on the bigger side, all you have to do is use a belt like the one pictured below to create the illusion of curves.
