They say diamonds are a girl’s best friend but I say makeup is what every girl should befriend, especially a good brown eyeshadow.

When used properly, brown eyeshadow can add depth to your eyes and make them look a gazillion times bigger. Plus pretty much any eye color and skin tone would look good with it. Need proof? Check out the following example taken from the latest issue of Easy Finder:

Before and After

How To Use Brown Eyeshadow To Create Depth
To create the illusion of depth with brown eyeshadow, all it takes is a few easy steps and the following tools:

* Brown eyeshadow of your own choice (NARS Duo Eyeshadow in India Song was used on model Angelababy above)

* Black eyeliner
* Mascara
* Eyelash curler
* 2 to 3 eyeshadow brushes

Step 1. Using a dense eyeshadow brush, pat the brown eyeshadow onto your entire eyelid.

Step 2. Blend the eyeshadow upwards with a fluffy brush so there is a gradation of color, i.e. keeping the color darkest along the lashline and fading gradually as you go upwards.

Step 3. Line your top and bottom lashlines with an eyeliner.

Step 4. Smudge the brown eyeshadow on your lower eye to soften the line.

Step 5. Curl your lashes and apply several coats of mascara.

Voila! Bigger, deep-set eyes in no time!
