MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil Review

January 31, 2006

As requested by juicycouture, I will be starting a series of eyeliner reviews, starting with MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil ($13.50).

When MAC first came out with these, I was STOKED. The formula is waterproof and long-wearing and comes in metallic, shimmer and matte finishes that is smooth to apply and won’t smudge or budge.

Unlike my first MAC eyeliner, Eye Pencil, I found them a lot easier to blend plus they stayed on a lot better too. My favorite is Forever Green, a shimmery forest emerald green, which makes my brown eyes pop.

is the mac powerpoint pencil an actual black? Will it stay that black all day also?

MAC does make a black shade for the Powerpoint Pencils – it’s called Engraved (pictured above). I have never tried it myself but if you want something that is black and will stay black, I suggest you try a liquid liner or MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack.

Hey I was just looking for some eyeliners and came across your site. Now I know which one I should buy lol! But, I would have to disagree with you on the MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil, I HATE it. It smudges too easily, and it isn’t waterproof z.z

Know any good eyeliners for the waterline? Possibly something from a drugstore? I have one from loreal paris it glides right on and its very black, but it doesnt stay on very long

After lining my eyes with a pencil eyeliner under my eyes, I always notice how it starts to smudge after a quiet short period of time. This happens very often to me. I have tried waterproof and nonwaterproof. They all get smudge ad fades away from my eyes. I am guessing this is due to oil production from my skin ?
Is there away to prevent smudging?
I have tried sealing product from Benefit ( transparent gel) but this thing really is harsh on my skin.
