70s inspired vibrant eye makeup paired with a soft lip and pastel nails ruled the runway at Alexis Mabille Spring/Summer 2016.
The Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2016 show in Milan presented a fashion collection which is the Designers’ tribute to Italy. The Designers’ vision, “Italy is Love”, was complemented by a makeup look highlighting luminous skin with a flawless, dewy finish; soft and smoky feline eyes and plump lips. Nails in a feminine, romantic shade completed the look.
At Naeem Khan Spring/Summer 2016, models rocked a quintessential feminine look which complemented the collection of gowns that represented a fairytale romance with vivid colors of the Mediterranean.
At Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2016, the beauty look is all about downtown chic. “It’s the East Village girl who’s been out all night,” explained François Nars. “Marc wanted them to look a little worn, so we created a look with too much mascara, just the right amount of color, no foundation, and dark circles under the eyes. There’s a lot of shine on the cheeks and eyes – they almost look greasy and a bit tired, but still so beautiful.”
At Diane von Furstenberg Spring/Summer 2016, lead artist Pat McGrath gave models a gorgeous mermaid eye to go with the ’70s nightlife inspired collection. The eyes were first rimmed with aquamarine shadow using a damp brush before a seafoam color was blended over it up to the crease and under the eyes. Lots and lots of mascara helped define the eyes while the rest of the face was kept fresh with just a hint of peach blush, highlighter along the cheekbones and balm on the lips.
Inspired by Cleopatra, the Sphinx and various elements of Egyptology, The Blonds Spring/Summer 2016 Collection brought us a beauty look that is glistening and decadent.
